Silk Ribbon Flowers!

I've been insanely busy lately, first working seven days a week at two jobs and then moving house, so I haven't had as much time to make things as I would have liked.

Several months ago I received an enormous amount of embroidery materials in the mail, including a bunch of silk and rayon ribbon. I made this while playing around with silk ribbon embroidery techniques, as well as wool felt appliqué. I also went in and added some shadow using very watered down acrylic paint. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty charmed by the final result.

The design is about 6 inches tall and 4 inches across. I may go back and fill in the lower left a bit more, but it's okay for now.
