Roadkill Rabbit Necklace

I made this as a christmas gift for a friend. The base is comprised of several layers of lace fabrics sandwiched together and embroidered. The rabbit is raw silk and about 1" tall, and the intestines are made of satin cord appliquéd onto the lace. I also added beads and chains to make it look a bit more like jewelry, and it closes with a heart shaped toggle.

I've been making progressively smaller rabbits in this style for a couple of years, this is by far the tiniest I have ever made. This is just a very quick snapshot I took before giving it away, sorry for the poor quality.
