This is a prototype I've been working on. The problems haven't quite been ironed out, but I think it's cute. This is a repurposed sewing machine lightbulb, with wire legs and wire mesh wings. The edges of the mesh are covered with a silver colored metal tape. The electrical contacts on the base of the bulb make this little bug look like it has a quizzical expression, which I think is pretty cute! I am going to try another version with a slightly smaller gauge wire.
